Jell-o shots aren’t just for college pre-games anymore. Ethyl Ambrosia is revamping the gelatinous undergrad staple into an upscale treat suitable for the ’rents with a new delivery service and Dripping Springs tasting room.
The brick and mortar tasting room is located at 12440 Trail Driver Street, where you can sample a creative flavor line-up of rosé, Moscow mule, mojito and citrus punch—yeah, we definitely can’t make these at home. The “gel shots” also crafted from a proprietary seaweed base instead of gelatin, which makes them vegan-friendly.
For $50, you can order a party pack of 20 shots online for pick-up or delivery. Individual shots are available for $3 each.
The tasting room is open Thursdays and Fridays from 2 to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A note on the website says that they will be closed this Saturday, August 31 to attend the University of Texas game.
According to Eater Austin, owner Dee Dee Bryant’s future plans include adding a wine bar and charcuterie board menu to the tasting room.
